Grape tasting in the vineyard with Eudald Massana A stroll through the vineyards accompanied by Eudald Massana, to taste the different grape varieties of the estate. Learn about the characteristics of each variety, different ripening stages, the type of soil, and how it affects the taste, as well as the climatology and the ecological and biodynamic philosophy of the winery. This is a unique activity that takes place only during harvest time. To conclude, there will be a wine and cava tasting in the Garden of the family farmhouse, where we can taste the wines resulting from the vineyards where we have tasted the grapes.

Must tasting with a visit Visit the vineyards and the cellar, learn more about the history of the estate and the family, the ecological and biodynamic philosophy, the terroir, and the wine production processes. During the visit, in the cellar's production area, we will taste the must of different varieties, vineyards, and fermentation levels directly from the tanks, immersing ourselves in an explosion of aromas, flavors, and tones. We will end with a tasting of 3 wines and cavas, where we can compare the must we have tasted with the resulting wine, in an idyllic setting, in the cellar's garden and among the vineyards.

Harvest breakfast at the cellar With views in the cellar's garden and among the vineyards. Start the day with a typical Catalan breakfast in the cellar's garden. Local products accompanied by the sound of birds, overlooking the vineyards in the heart of Penedès. In Subirats, in the heart of the Penedès, enjoy a guided tour in a wonderful place surrounded by vineyards and overlooking the Monastery of Sant Sebastian dels Gorgs. We will walk through the vineyards of the winery, all located on the family Massana’s estate. You’ll get to know their history, fundamental pillars in the elaboration of all of their still and sparkling wines; and the organic and biodynamic farming techniques in the vineyard. A tasting of three wines or/and Cava in the winery garden will conclude the tour.

Welcome and presentation of the history of the Massana family and of the organic certified Winery ; we will discover where the philosophy of biodynamic farming comes from and since when is it implemented on the Eudald Massana estate.

We will walk through the vineyard, commenting on the vegetative cycle (depending on the season) and on the works carried out at this time. Back at the winery, the uses of medicinal plants and other materials that are used to treat the vineyard will be explained, we will see what are the cow horns used for and some guidelines will be given to understand the lunar calendar.

We will finish with a commented tasting of four wines and / or sparkling wines in the garden of the farmhouse.
